ABOUT our founder
Parris Prep Academy was founded by Damari Parris, a former division 1 basketball player at Western Kentucky, Eastern Michigan & Prairie View A & M. Damari has played against and with top NBA players and collegiate athletes, and his most notable performance was scoring 40 pts. against Oak Hill Academy.
Damari's D1 basketball journey is the epitome of resilience and determination. He imparts his passion for basketball as a Physical Education and Health Teacher at Wilson STEM Academy in Charlotte, NC, and as co-founder of a travel basketball organization, Bout A Bucket.
